The mission was to transform a lower level space into a “Boudoir” spa with 3 private massage and facial rooms, hair salon, manicure and pedicure areas, kitchenette, lockers, bathroom, and a private office for the owner. The challenge was taking downtown urban loft architecture and combining it with velvets for that luxury feel. The custom cabinets and built-ins were made from distressed wood combined with glass tiles, marble, and stone. Lighting was critical in this space with low exposed ceilings. Flush mount halogens in cabinetry, beautiful sconces, chandeliers, and track lighting were combined together for ambiance and working light.
The tiny powder room had a coiffured wood drop ceiling, marble floor with rug inlay, metallic grass cloth wallpaper, mirror and sconces to keep up with this luxury hideaway.
