Over the past eighteen years, I have delved into many areas of interior design
as an entrepreneur. These include designer furniture showrooms, custom
cabinetry, kitchen & bath remodeling, designing a line of furniture, a drapery
workroom and finally operating it all from a studio-based design firm. It is the
lifelong passion for creating that drives it all. My degrees in both Fashion and
Interior Design work hand in hand. Projects include commercial, retail and
residential from Michigan to the Washington, DC area. These years have
honed my problem solving and business skills critical for today’s projects.
My approach is to work from the outside in – I love architecture and traveling
to stay refreshed. The interior needs to be in sync with the structure it lives
in. Classic, timeless choices not only endure, they also provide us with the
comforts of our past without us even knowing it. Although I create
sophisticated casual spaces, a few unexpected luxuries and fine details clinch
the deal. It can be a beautiful original painting, a gorgeous Italian chenille
fabric, an antique piece, or whatever each unique project presents.
